After a short break Barnstaple Carnival will be returning on Saturday 21st September 2024. As the original carnival team have decided it is time for a well-earned rest after their many years of services to this wonderful community event, Flourishing Barnstaple have helped create a management team to organise this and future carnivals for Barnstaple.

We are hard at work putting everything in place for the big day (and the weeks leading up to it) but there is one thing we need more than anything … YOU!!

We want this year’s carnival to be packed with members of the community dressed to the nines and joining in with the carnival spirit. So now’s the time to start thinking about your entry! Whether you want to enter as a family group, society, club, business or on your own, we want you to be involved.

We’ve revamped a few things this year including the route and the entry classes and will have more details soon regarding Carnival Royalty and other carnival related events taking place in the lead up to the big day.
